Discover the Tweed hinterland by settling into a Long table luncheon courtesy of the talented team at Mavis’s Kitchen.
Nestled below Wollumbin (Mt Warning), wander the grounds of Mavis’s and learn about fire cooking as the chefs prepare venison ethically sourced by Fair Game Wild Venison. The sumptuous lunch will consist of shared platters, venison served with leafy greens and vegetables from the garden + dessert.
The afternoon will also feature a cooking lesson on marinades & preserves + live entertainment (female Blues singer). Let the Mavis’s staff take care of the wines by selecting a wine ticket option
Lunch will begin with a selection of shared platters including
breads, house-made dips, cheeses, cured meats, various pickled garden vegetables, fruits, Pâté, and olives.
For the carnivores, main course will feature the fire-cooked succulent Fair Game Wild Venison.
Vegetarians will be served Mavis’s signature beetroot gnocchi with truffle pear and wild rocket.
Vegans will be served wild sourced local mushrooms cooked in a garden salsa verde and served with Italian polenta, wild rocket and pickled chilli.
All mains will have bowls of garden salad and vegetables to enjoy.
For a sweet finish, a Mavis’s dessert table will be created for you to select your favourite flavours.
Vegans will be offered a chocolate and hazelnut gelato on a coconut base with fresh fruit.
