The Minjungbal Cultural Experience on Water will cruise the Tweed River (departing Chinderah) and feature Traditional Owners sharing local Indigenous stories as well as live music by Goori Guru and The Mangrove Jack. Presented by Tweed Escapes, the Minjungbal Cultural Centre and Banaam this authentic, local indigenous experience showcases award winning Indigenous Slam Poetess Jasmine and other local Indigenous youth through music and storytelling onboard.
Storytelling on board the cruise will discuss local produce and seasonal bush foods by Dhinawan Dreaming. Dhinawan is one of Indigenous Australia’s most engaging, articulate and entertaining public speakers, educators and entertainers. Known for his spontaneous, straight-from-the-heart cultural commentary Dhinawan will narrate an authentic cultural journey of food from Gamillaroi Bigambul country to Bundjalung Country.
At the Minjungbal Museum & Cultural Centre, lunch will be prepared by local Indigenous chefs Robert Philp and Mundara Baker.

After the cruise, you’ll be transported by bus to the Minjungbal Cultural Centre where you’ll meet the talented and incredibly knowledgeable Uncle Franc Krasna. Uncle Franc will guide you through a foraging experience while lunch is prepared by local Indigenous chefs from the Tweed Goori Community. Enjoy a non-alcoholic Sobah beer with lunch.
Following lunch you will be transported back to Chinderah.
