CASUARINA/NSW (July 10th/2018): After another successful event in 2017, the 2018 nudie Australian Adaptive Surfing Titles will be held this Saturday, July 14th on the Tweed Coast.

Jack Bayliss Park in Kingscliff shapes as the likely location for the event which will get underway from 8am and will feature more than twenty of Australia’s best adaptive surfers.

With a moderate east-north-east swell in the 2-3ft range with south winds in the 20-25 knot range, Kingscliff shapes as the perfect venue.

The one-day event will include the following divisions:

  • AS 1 (Stand/Kneel – AS-1UL – Upper Limb, AS-1LL – Lower Limb
  • AS 2 (Stand/Kneel)
  • AS 3 (Seated)
  • AS 4 (Prone)
  • AS 5 (Non-Standing / Assist)
  • AS VI(AS-VIB1, AS-VIB2, AS-VIB3 – Visual Impairment)

With a strong field expected to register, the day-long competition will be held in beach break conditions that should allow all adaptive athletes to showcase their talents and push for a position on the Australian Adaptive Surf Team that will compete at the International Surfing Association (ISA) Stance World Adaptive Surfing Championships later in 2018.

The 2018 nudie Australian Adaptive Surfing Titles is proudly supported by nudie, ACCnet21, SAE Group, Adaptive Surfers of Australia and Surfing Australia.
