Green Cauldron Panorama

< Back

This stunning 20 metre long painting depicts the 360o  view of the Tweed erosion caldera from the summit of Wollumbin Mt Warning. Created by Andy Reimanis and a team of talented local artists, this artwork was a  year in the making (2012) and features accurate geographic detail as well as the birds of prey of the Tweed region.

Originally housed in the World Heritage Rainforest Centre on the banks of the Tweed River, it was recently relocated to the Murwillumbah CBD as a result of the  March 2017 flood event. Looking even better in its new location, the entrance to the Panorama is adjacent to the iconic Court House Hotel (60 Murwillumbah St).

In the same precinct is the Caldera Wildscapes Gallery and the working art studio of Andy Reimanis. Besides showcasing his superb landscape and wildlife art, Andy is keen to share his interpretation and stories with visitors wanting to know more about this fascinating ancient landscape known as Australia’s Green Cauldron, and the amazing biodiversity within.

For anybody seeking an authentic and relevant visual arts experience, the Green Cauldron Panorama and Caldera Wildscapes Gallery are well worth a visit. Entrance is adjacent to the Court House Hotel (where meals are also available), 60 Murwillumbah St. Entry is free and open 10.00am-4.00pm (closed Mondays & Tuesdays).
